The labyrinth at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 185 S White Chapel Blvd, Southlake, TX 76092 was one of my absolute favorites (definitely a top 3 choice so far).
And yippee…. another double play! Three lessons walking it in, and three lessons walking it out.
So as before, I split this walk and its lessons into two separate posts- one for today’s labyrinth lesson and the second for the labyrinth lesson on 7/12/2022.
This walk took place on December 3, 2021 around 4:25 pm. There were several things about this labyrinth walk that were different or unusual from what I have previously experienced.
First, the fact that this was a ‘double play’ – meaning I received two sets of lessons, whereas I normally only get one.
Second, the boundaries on this path were raised walls, rather than a flat surface.
Third, this labyrinth had some great signage and rocks with scriptures, words and phrases to provoke my mind…..
Sometimes we need boundaries to keep us on the right path
I hate to be limited. Nothing fires me up like someone telling what I can & can’t do.
Limits.
Boundaries.
Blech.
Nonetheless, I’ve learned that boundaries, HEALTHY boundaries, are really important.
There will always be peaks and valleys along the journey
Life is a series of highs and lows. How those experiences shape us is determined by how we respond to them.
It’s not over until you’re dead, and even then, it’s still not over.
Our breaking point is usually well beyond what we think it is. This ‘revelation’ made me think of another quote I love:
Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
