The road trip with Mikayla and Andrew from December 2021 was one of few ‘up’ moments of that year, and all the labyrinth walks (and them, of course), were a big part of why.
To recap: In the previous labyrinth lesson, I shared that the labyrinth at Whites Chapel UMC in Southlake, Texas became one of my favorites labyrinths as soon as I saw it. Consequently, I made two visits there in the space of only a few days, the second visit with Andrew and Mikayla. Each labyrinth walk gave two sets of lessons– one walking in, and one walking out.
Part 1 of these labyrinth lessons were my reminder to be Resolute, and press forward, doing all the work necessary to prevail, and were revealed as I walked into the center of the labyrinth. This lesson came from my walk as I exited the labyrinth.
Today’s lessons was my reminder to Focus on what’s important.
Labyrinth walk from December 8, 2021, approximately 12:45 p.m. at Whites Chapel UMC (185 White Chapel Blvd in Southlake, Texas).
Priorities, Patience & Trust
It’s time to let all the ‘things’ go.
You don’t need ‘things’ when you have love
It’s easy to get caught up in the trivialities and imperfections of life (and people).
But, what is most important to you? Feeling you are right and seeking that validation, or prioritizing love in relationships?
Let the trivialities of life go and focus on loving people (and yourself) well.
Look up to find the answers.
In short, I trust you God.
3 But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
Psalm 56:3 Tweet
He’s working things out from different angles for each of us.
It won’t be much longer now.
Faith is like the statera pole a tightrope walker uses- we use faith to balance the doubt and fear, and when we have a really good handle on our faith, the tightrope of life becomes like solid ground beneath us.
Waiting in faith is hard, and when we see others who appear to progress ahead of us, it’s even harder. But we’re all on a different path and our lives operate on different timelines. So be patient.
Your time is coming. My time is coming. Soon.
