Today’s labyrinth lesson came from my labyrinth walk at Big Pine United Methodist Church in Big Pine Key, Florida. I was coming up on the end of a two week vacation on my friend Paul’s sailboat (a beautiful 40′ catamaran, the S/V Kya Anne). We had spent our time enjoying and exploring Key West and the surrounding areas, including a few days where we sailed over to Dry Tortugas National Park. After exploring Key West and enjoying labyrinth walks at each of the two labyrinths there (Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Gardens and Key West Garden Center), After those two experiences, I had searched for another labyrinth within a relatively short driving distance from where we were anchored near Key West.
Big Pine Key is approximately 30 miles (and 45 minutes) from Key West, so I rented a car for the day and Paul cheerfully agreed to accompany me on yet another labyrinth seeking adventure.
After being told to examine my Priorities and Pace Yourself!, I was curious what I would hear next.

The light is about to return to your life
This was a bittersweet message to hear- I appreciate the acknowledgment of the challenges the last few years have brought, and welcome the idea that things are going to get better (and brighter), but my honest and immediate response was “WHEN!?” (to which I received the following response:
That is everything you need to know
As you can imagine, being told, “That is everything you need to know” is a far from satisfying answer.
I may have cursed (highly likely), and I most definitely did not graciously accept that as the final answer. After all, how could I not want to know more? I had questions…. like when? How? What do I need to be doing?
All I received in reply was “Hebrews 6:19” and…
Hope anchors the soul
I don’t have many scriptures memorized, so I had to look up Hebrews 6:19 in the Bible.
19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, – Hebrews 6:19
Given that experience, I don’t have anything to add to that experience… just a sense of awe, wonder and curiosity.
So all I can do is wait and see…. And I’m doing the best I can to wait with hopeful expectation. 🤞🏽 🙏🏽 🤷🏽♀️
